A day in the life

The Operations Manager actively engages in the S&OP cycle to determine processing volumes for the Fulfillment Center. They communicate these volumes, establish cost thresholds, quality standards, and specify the tools to be employed. Through regular audits of process execution, they interface with 3PL managers to drive improvements, implement corrections, and develop strategic plans.

About The Team

The Operations Manager will serve as a crucial liaison between Amazon’s diverse departments and the third-party logistics provider (3PL) executing fulfillment center operations. While not directly managing a team, this role demands exceptional communication skills and a deep understanding of cross-functional dynamics. The ideal candidate will seamlessly bridge the gap between Amazon’s internal teams and the 3PL, ensuring smooth operational flow and optimal performance in the fulfillment center environment.

Basic Qualifications

2+ years of employee and performance management experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
